Jacqueline Willman - Pottery and Ceramics

Jacqueline Willman studied fine art (painting) at Birmingham Art College and spent several years as a teacher of art and pottery.

Since moving to the Oswestry area ten years ago, Jacqueline has concentrated on developing her own pottery and ceramics which are sold directly from her workshop studio and to shops and galleries.

Her work has two distinct styles, but it is colourful, merging traditional pottery techniques with hand modelled applied patterns and designs. Her current range of blue and green stoneware pottery uses dipped glazes combined with the use of oxides to create decorative patterned effects. The highly coloured earthenware involves an elaborate process created by throwing the basic pot, applying hand sculptured motifs and finally hand painting the article in a variety of glaze colours.

Visitors are welcome and individual orders and commissions are gladly undertaken. Courses can also be arranged.
